LaCory Gordon
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, I have made this city my own. At the age of 10, I was placed into the foster system with loving parents. I understand I was fortunate in the fact that I had one set of foster parents for 6 years who taught me invaluable lessons. It was tough love as they put me to work on their farm and taught me a work ethic. I was adopted at 16th by a family at my church. After graduation, I attended college with the help of Central Plains. Joined the military and traveled the country. I am back in Omaha as a homeowner and on the board of our HOA. I received my Real Estate license and currently finishing my bachelor’s.

Nandi Kumondan
Hello! My name is Nandi, and I’m so excited to join Central Plains Nebraska on their first youth advisory board. I’m currently a science transfer student at Metropolitan Community College, hoping to obtain my bachelor's degree at UNL. I’m also on the Nebraska Children’s and Families youth advisory board as well. My hobbies include working out, traveling, henna artistry, reading, and working on my assignments. I’m really looking forward to contributing my experience here at CPN in hopes of connecting with youth and the organization while driving for initiatives from behind the scenes with my fellow members.

Rouda Joshua
My name is Rouda Joshua. When I was 16 years old, I went through trials and tribulations with foster care and experiencing homelessness, as well as moving six homes within a year. I was fortunate enough to be able to get reunited with my birth mother, and she was able to be there for me and my siblings again. My struggles have taught me things about myself and how to handle stressful moments in life. I’ve learned things aren’t always going to be easy, and I have to accept that. My experiences have shaped me into who I am today. I now attend college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. With the help of Central Plains and the great coaches I have had in both Hastings and Lincoln, I was able to get much support, resources, and opportunities. Through Opportunity Passport, I was able to get a car that has helped me commute to and from Hastings effortlessly while in college to visit family. I'm pursuing a degree in construction management and plan to graduate in 2027.
